This week, homeowners in Premier homes have been busy preparing for their Thanksgiving feasts. No matter if planning for one or twenty-one guests, our gourmet kitchens and spacious living spaces are perfect for cooking and entertaining.

As the weather gets colder, heaters go on and fireplaces are lit. Save on energy with these tips!

As the weather gets colder, heaters go on and fireplaces are lit. However, keeping your house warm can get expensive. This season, save on energy in Premier homes by following these tips.

-Set your thermostat no higher than 68 degrees when home. Lower this temperature when in bed or when you are not home. For every degree that you lower your thermostat, you save about two percent on your heating bill.

-Weatherize your home by caulking and weather-stripping all doors and windows. In addition, use locks on windows to make them tighter and draft resistant. Continue reading →

Howl-oween Best Pet Costume Contest Winner with an Edge

Congrats to our Howl-oween Best Pet Costume Contest winner, Lexy the Biker Babe!

Join us in congratulating our Howl-oween Best Pet Costume Contest winner, Lexy the Biker Babe! Lexy heated up the competition with her edgy and rockin’ style. She could definitely be the owner of a Harley! Her family, the Tuckers, received a $200 gift certificate. Maybe Lexy can get a new helmet?!

The Howl-oween promotion did not just bring cute animals dressed in their best costumes, it also brought Premier new Facebook “likes.” As promised, for each new “like,” we donated $1 to the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County. In all, we donated about $120! Hopefully, it will help more pets be adopted into good families, such as the Tucker family. Continue reading →

Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my! Our Howl-oween contest hasn’t had any zoo animals enter yet, but we do have a tourist, sheep, pirate, biker, Santa, tourist, hot dog and even a banana split! There is still time to enter your pet in our Best Pet Costume Contest on the Premier Communities Facebook page! Dressing up pets for Halloween sure is fun, but please remember to keep their safety in mind.

Here are some pet safety tips for residents in our new homes in Lacey, Auburn, Bonney Lake, Everett, Fife, Lakeland, Olympia, Orting, Puyallup, Spanaway and Tumwater:

Happy Howl-oween!

Kids love dressing up on Halloween. We are sure to see lots of princesses, ghosts, ghouls, sports figures and cartoon characters trick or treating from our Auburn, Orting, Tumwater, Spanaway, Olympia, Fife and Lacey homes. Sometimes you even see the family dog dressed up and following the kids along the route. Tough times don’t last, tough people do

While the housing market took its toll on everyone throughout the industry, builders also largely felt the pain. With a record breaking year in 2006 Premier Communities sold an impressive 303 homes, and the housing market quickly began to shift soon after.
