Priced by the wedge, not the pound, My Cheese Shoppe is just a small, walk-in space with a display case filled to maximum capacity with, well, cheese! There are more than 75 cheeses that are sourced from Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Wisconsin and New York, as well as imports from Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Gibson’s Frozen Yogurt Shoppe
Where: 8 N. Tacoma Ave., Tacoma

Thirty toppings, eight yogurt flavors, self service and yogurt weighing in at a caloric investment of 80-100 calories per 4-ounce service? Gibson’s, we like you!  The yogurt is YoCream, a product that adds active and live cultures to the yogurt after it’s pasteurized, so it’s a pretty healthy indulgence.  But leave it to the toppings to add a little excitement (a.k.a. fat and calories!)– granola, mini marshmallows, peanut butter cups, hot fudge, caramel and more.
